You will be filled either with Everything or with nothing.  The only way to discern the difference is to know Him.

Why Gospel Tracts?

1. Tracts can get inside homes and stay there. You can't.

2. Tracts never lose their temper or become involved in arguments.

3. Tracts never flinch or show cowardice.

4. Tracts can stick to the point without compromising.

5. Tracts never get discouraged.

6. Tracts are willing to travel anywhere.

7. Tracts can work 24 hours per day.

8. Tracts are not expensive.

9. Tracts can be read many times over.

10. Tracts contain portions of Scripture, which God will use and bless (Isaiah 55:10,11).

None in Hell

"Tracts everywhere!" said a young man with a sneer as a Christian handed him a gospel tract one afternoon. "No," said the tract distributor quietly, "there will be none in hell," and passed on. God fastened that single sentence in that young man's mind as a nail in a sure place and he could not get rid of it. "None in hell!" seemed to echo in his ears every time he saw a tract, and ultimately he was converted.

Wither's Book: Heartstrings in Haiti by Alice Warkentin

A good book on a good work. Raymond and Vera Wither's terrace, road work and dedication to helping their fellow man has been an inspiration to me and now you can read the story. How they went into the interior of southern Haiti and fell in love with a country and people. Later they went to Nepal and China to find ancient and tried methods to build efficient and suitable terraces for Haiti's  erosion situation. He also found an open way to build roads so communities could be connected to markets and the rest of the country. It shows how simple acts of kindness like giving a piece of bread to a child can open large bureaucratic doors later on. Finally learn how you can live your retirement helping others. The book was published by Inspiring Voices, (a service of Guideposts). I am sure the proceeds will go to furthering the work and vision in Haiti. 

Busy. Busy. Like Normal...

I have been too engaged to really to do justice to the blog. I have moved to Winton. Pace of life has definitely picked up. Still working on the Haiti book. I hear Raymond Withers, terrace builder, former missionary has a book coming out in another month. .
 If I receive any information about the Oriani clinic I will post it here. However I believe Director Keith Toews has a regular column in the Business Bulletin. Thank-You.

Katie Davis, missionary to the orphans in Uganda. She was back in the US for a short furlough, and wrote the following:

 “What has been the biggest shock to my system, the huge disconnect, is that I have stepped out of my reliance on God to meet my needs. I “miss” Jesus. He hasn’t disappeared, of course, but I feel so far removed from him because my life is actually functioning without Him. By “functioning”, I mean that if I am sick, I go to the drugstore or to the doctor. If I am hungry, I go to the grocery store. If I need to go somewhere, I get in my car. When I need some advice or guidance, I call my mom or go plop on my roommate’s bed. If I want to feel happy, I get Brad, my little brother, or someone else to make me laugh. I keep forgetting to ask God first to heal me, to fill me, to guide me, to rejoice with me. I have to set aside “time to pray” in the morning and at night instead of being in constant communication with Him. In Uganda, because I was so physically poor I was completely dependent on God, and spiritually… as wealthy as ever.”
